Born and raised in Syracuse, she still sits on the court side of every basketball game in the Dome despite the recent passing of her husband.

Born and raised in the South Side of Syracuse, Rahzie faced police brutality as a young adult despite her father's position at the Syracuse Police Department. As a non-heteronormative woman, Rahzie hopes to run for city council to bring support back to the South Side.

When Adan was growing up as a refugee from Kenya, his father gave him a sense of hope that situations would somehow improve. Now, he wants to be the one to provide that hope for others like him through RISE, the Refugee and Immigrant Self-Empowerment Center in Syracuse.


Stanley will run from event to event in the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communication’s buildings, making sure everything goes off without a hitch, like he has been doing for several years as facilities coordinator. Although Bondy hasn’t received much recognition for his work, those close to him say Newhouse wouldn’t function properly without him.

Elizabeth is the Cage Manager and has been taking care of students, faculty and her employees for five years now. Often seen as a stern vehicle of authority, Elizabeth is above all, compassionate.

Virginia solely owns and operates her florist business of 30 years and prepares for the wake of Valentine's Day. Since the rise of online sales, business has been taken away from local businesses and sales have gone down.



Gina runs a Sauna business in Syracuse that she built from the ground up and offers health and wellness services for both the body and mind.

Despite the rift between the South Side of Syracuse at the Police Department is one of distrust. Recruit Brandon, born on the South Side, seeks to become an officer and create a stronger community and mend the divide.
